ELD
Language is a very important part of the success of every child at Bonny Doon School. Upon school entry, children 
with a home language other than English are tested to determine their language skills. Students who qualify for ELD will be placed in a regular education classroom and will be provided supplementary instruction to boost their English language skills. All students who are not yet fluent in English receive instruction in how to speak, understand, read and write in English. Each student’s progress is monitored by the ELD teacher and the student’s regular classroom teacher until the student achieves fluency in English.
