I believe in diversity in the classroom.  Students need to be exposed to many different subjects, experiences and learning modalities.  Each student should receive the support that they need to achieve, even when a task proves difficult.  They also need opportunities to discover and develop their own passions and talents.  Students should be actively engaged in their own learning.  Their educational experience is deepened through hands on, meaningful lessons lessons, choice, responsibility, and by reflecting on and sharing their own goals and achievements. Every students learns best in their own ways, and they all have unique and valuable contributions to make.

Bonny Doon School is an amazing place to work.  The small, tightly knit community looks out for all of the students.  As a teacher here, I am constantly inspired by my colleagues and my students to keep learning and growing as an educator.  This school believes in compassion creativity, taking care of each other and the Earth, and achieving together.
